Dog fighter doubles
Dog fighter doubles
Just an idle thought as I wait for WOT to load up. What would the forum propose as future two kit boxing ( cost not a problem) The most obvious one I can think of is the sea fury and the Mig 15 in North Korean colors or the Blenheim and the 109E. Anybody any others? Could even be a future group build?

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Re: Dog fighter doubles
Phantom vs Mig21? They'd have to cut moulds for both first, of course, but then, you said cost wasn't an issue

Re: Dog fighter doubles
Well if cost is no issue, how about F-14 v Su-22, or (not a dogfight, but an intercept) Tu-95 and a Phantom FGR2 ( Honest I'm not greedy)

I'd thought about that, but couldn't choose between Gulf of Sidra and the even wilder encounters in the Iran-Iraq war.Kitaholic wrote:Well if cost is no issue, how about F-14 v Su-22,

Re-tooled Mirage IIIC in Israeli markings and a new Mig-21PF (early version) in Egyptian markings. Don't forget the black display stand to prop them on!

Re: Dog fighter doubles
This has already been suggested as a GB. I'd certainly be up for it.
Airfix Sabre and Mig-15 perhaps?

If all the interested modellers, worldwide, offered a reward for the return of the mould, then who knows?!

I suppose that has to be August 12, 1940 - III Kampfgeschwader 51 Junkers Ju88-A1 Vs Spitfire of 152 Sqn. R.A.F. Warmwell.jamesaw wrote:Spitfire 1b vs Ju88A1

Re: Dog fighter doubles
Nice to see fellow BoB fanatics on the forum! Yes, the 1b is pretty obscure and the cannon were singularly unreliable, but it would make a nice change from the garden variety 8 Browning version and thanks to your timely reference, Airfix now have some marking schemes to research to go with the suggestion!CementNotGlue wrote:I suppose that has to be August 12, 1940 - III Kampfgeschwader 51 Junkers Ju88-A1 Vs Spitfire of 152 Sqn.
