I'm trying not to build anything as I fancy a few days off

Got something to say about the hobby of model making?

I feel for you mate. Modelling mojo malfunction isn't at all funny. I always find that just finishing something, even just going back to basics and slapping a simple kit together, rough painting it with a brush and sticking on the decals with nothing more than water helps. It kind of brings back the childhood joy I got from model making.

Even if the result gets used as a test piece afterwards.

At the risk of being drummed out of the ranks of modelling geeks, this is my solution to not building 'anything'. Ok, so it is something, but it can't be taken too seriously. I bought a book of 50 card models at a National Trust shop a few weeks ago. They are quite difficult to build and extremely difficult to build into anything that a credible modeller would recognize. They are, however, quite fun, quick and cheap to build. So far it's 4 done, so 46 to go. The scales are various. The types range from a Wright Flyer to a modern Airbus - it is genuinely, a history of aviation.

I have just noticed that there is a separate thread on card models.

Please feel most welcome to post these into the completed models section of the current paper model GB...certainly they qualify...nice work and I look forward to seeing the other 46 as you work through them...
Please critique my posts honestly i.e. say what you think so I can learn and improve...

I have the problem at the moment that when I do have the time, I don't feel like modelling and when I feel like modelling, I don't have the time.
both my current projects are close to completion but I am not inspired by them. I might start something new to get my mojo back.
currently on the go: Revell Blenheim I, Italeri Me210, Revell HMS victory, Revell 1/144 p-47
completions in 2012:8, completions in 2013: 13, Completions in 2014:10, Completions in 2015: 9, Completions in 2016: 8, Completions in 2017: 9, Completions in 2018: 12, completions in 2019:7, completions in 2020: 17
