Clearance sale at one of the local hobby shops. Discounted down to CAN$25 :)

1/48 is not my usual scale, but this Tamiya kit is well thought of, and there's the car and figures too.

Nice pick-up, Andrew - a really nice kit, and the Tilly, though not actually an RAF vehicle, can be used in a variety of other situations.

Pity the RAF never used the Austin Tilly in the war (except in 633 Sqn :-D ).

I may do a civilian one, or one driven by the Queen when she was in the ATS. There's even a Malta camouflage example.

Really good score, Andrew!

I just bought a 1/144 Mark I Ta152H-1 from e-bay (2 in the box). Really nice little kit, simple, but with sufficient detail (decals for the side consoles!). Hope it goes together as well as it looks! If I get a chance, I'll post some pictures. http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=11863

I am also quite excited about the forthcoming 1/144 Beaufighter from the same source.

regards,

Martin

I came home from the Salisbury model show with an Airfix Fort Sahara which is in pristine clean condition and an immaculate box and it seemed to provide a great topic of conversation for those around me all day.

Ratch if he sees this will be no doubt hoping I will give him a photo of the thing assembled and the box as they are apparently quite sought after...

Arrived today from a Vulcan Hangar somewhere near Doncaster...

OK so not a stash addition in a conventional sense, but at least one of them is appropriate to my UAMF alias :-D

Danger! Unexploded Joke :ha:

And speaking of jokes: two very basic and rough round the edges kits (literally in the case of the Pegasus  )

Image

The Pegasus Fw-44 Steglitz will need a fair old effort to get it to a fit state.

Image

The Staggerwing is devoid of any surface detail, but looks straightforward enough.

Latest additions via a very reasonable second-hand kit dealership, I give you the 1/72nd Airfix B-29 and the LS Ki-46 III Kai:

I've been looking for affordable examples of these two kits for a while! Both for £20. I'm happy with that!

After the B-17 from Airfix that I'm currently doing, a B-29 is a must. Wanted to get one for ages so might have to splash out!!.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!
