The like of the P38, Eurofighter, JU88 are just like regular kits with a lot more pieces.
Tbf HobbyBoss do label their easy build kits as such. Some of their other stuff is far from easy building.
Enjoyment over accuracy. That's my motto

But for the rest of us heretics, a reference list would be very handy if such a thing existed :mrgreen:

It does;
Scalemates;
https://www.scalemates.com/kits/;

Type in the details of a subject and find all the kits made.
Then look at a certain boxing and a time-line will show how the box art changed and who also boxed that kit and their art work.
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

A book titled 1973-2000 The Story of Matchbox Kits by Jean-Christophe Carbonel covers the history of Matchbox and in the index details where the kits came from and who reissued them.

Not sure when but if you type in 1/72 Heyford into Ebay you get a number of hits for Revell and Matchbox.

Came across this discussion as well which might be useful to you, Matchbox kits which have been re-released by Revell.

This is a very quick list of aircraft I have compiled - mainly from memory with just a quick review of what Revell has released over the past few years. It may not be 100% accurate or complete but it gives you an idea of how many of the old Matchbox moulds they have re-released.

1/72

Hawker Fury
Westland Lysander
Gloster Gladiator
Bristol Beaufighter
Supermarine Walrus
HS Buccaneer 2
Fairey Swordfish
Grumman F9F Panther
DHC-6 Twin Otter
NA T2C Buckeye
Handley Page Victor K2
Supermarine Stranraer
Handley Page Halifax
Handley Page Heyford
Consolidated PB4Y Privateer
English Electric Canberra PR9
Douglas P70 Havoc

1/144
Dornier DoX (this was already an ex-Otaki mould before Matchbox issued it)

1/32
Supermarine Spitfire 22

I don't know enough about Matchbox's AFV releases. I do know Revell have issued quite a few of these over the years too.

I wasn't sure about the He70. I know Revell have just released one but it is the ex ICM model rather than the Matchbox one.

Revell appear to have re-popped both versions!

Matchbox re-pop boxing - http://modelingmadness.com/scott/axis/p ... /04229.htm;

ICM re-pop boxing - http://www.hyperscale.com/2016/reviews/ ... ewbg_1.htm;

It was the A-20G Havoc that was Matchbox i think the P70 was the Nightfighter version.

The Ju88 and P38 are both easybuild too- the JU88 for example has a single piece fuselage.

I assumed it was based on the original Matchbox moulds. I may be wrong.

Have been reading this tread with great interest, and have some comments.
1- many reasons for wanting a simple kit, time, health or just wanting to do a paint job.
2- Don,t throw the kit in the bin, by a clear plastic box and store it until the interest comes back. I have several boxes now......
3- The hobby should be fun and relaxing, if not slow down! I bought some sets of snap toy kits from China for almost nothing, just for fun, the quality is ...... but I had fun, what do you give for a bf109 with markings on just one side and "fighter" in English on one fuselage side.. ;-) am thinking of turning one of them into a yellow Minion flower power plane...time will show.
4- I hope your I pad will meet with my 2 PC,s in the electronic after life....am writing this on a I pad, but can,t down load photos from it.
Best from Ivan
