Us Welshmen have coracles. You can pick them up and walk with them. How about trying it with your canal boat

Like Iggie, I am also on my narrowboat. We will be heading up the Shropshire Union canal, initially heading for the Anderton Boat Lift.

Do elaborate Kevan.
There's to be a recreation of the fall of the Alamo at Weston Park that weekend; they apparently have hundreds of Mexicans but they seem to be a little short on Texans, so I'm a last minute addition. I'm just hoping it's going to be more Billy Bob Thornton than John Wayne, but who knows? Not my thing really, but have gun, will travel.

Kentucky long rifle by Pedersoli, modesty forbids me from saying who made the Hampton County gun bag...........

And please, I know it's tempting, but no coonskin cap cracks. Top hat and frock coat for me, much more authy.

Very cool Kevan. Around these parts we have Rogers Rangers and 1760's period. 60th America and the like.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

I've been to a few of the reenactments at Weston Park, they are huge, with reenactors from all over Europe with thousands on the field. Well worth attending for the show. Pity it clashes. However, if you want I can pick you up on the way through since I live in Telford, no one would bat an eyelid with you dressed like that.

Got back home about 4:40, hour and twenty to get back, despite the best efforts of the 50mph limit on ten miles of the M45/M1!!!. Enjoyed seeing everyone (well Dazzled, General Rocket and Kitaholic!). Nice chatting and had a laugh or two. Hopefully I wasn't too boring or quite, don't usually have much to say!.
By the way, everyone needs to build Spitfires for the Cold War SIG display, Dazzled said there weren't enough today!! :ha: :ha: :ha: :ha:

Boring? I was far more boring than you!
Always interesting to put faces to names. And a nice chat is always a bonus.
Fortunately On the way home I didn't need the broken windscreen wiper.

I thought you only lived once!!

Rocket: I'm glad you got home safely despite wiper blade problems. If you used the one from the back does that mean it was under scale?!? :ha:

12 inches, as opposed to 23 inches. So, half scale?
