Glencree

Post by danntheman »

Not sure if this is correct place to post this. These are some pics of German graveyard in Glencree in Co Wicklow in Ireland. Just thought Iwould post it as it is a very peaceful and serene spot for some of the men who died in World War 2. Not to say I glorify war, but just to show a peceful resting spot for these men.

Very touching. Lovely and thought provoking landscape.

That is so beautiful. Do you have any background information on the history of the cemetery?

When I was a kid we sometimes used to go on family drives into the Wicklow Mountains. Now and then we would pop into the German Airman's Graveyard. It is indeed a serene spot.
