Two newbies in the stash. Well, one a new kit the other a re-tread of a golden oldie.
Academy 1/72 F2H-3 Banshee (a lovely new kit)
Revell 1/144 Boeing 727-100 (ERRRRR where's the glazing....ho wait.... yep. it's that old a kit it never had any)

All the best.

Another Bandai refugee from Japan, although this time via the US and thankfully no customs charges!
Having built the 'palm-size' version (1/144 I'm guessing), I fancied seeing what the 1/48th version of the AT-AST would be like :)
And it looks pretty darn good!

The second arrival is another War of the Worlds themed kit, which may be used for my planned diorama of the Thunder Child attacking the Martians. I happened across an eBay seller who is selling wargaming kits under the name 'All Quiet on the Martian Front'. The tripods are more like the ones in the modern remake of the film (the one with shorthouse Cruise) than the Jeff Wayne style, but are a heck of a lot cheaper than any kit I've seen before. This set of three is about £30, and they will stand about 5" tall

New kits turned up in the post today - two Hobby Boss Harvards, which look like good fodder for the Blitzbau next month as they only seem to have about a dozen parts. One is going to be a camouflaged example from the Katangese Air Force, the other a NMF Belgian AF machine that supported the Paras at Stanleyville.

I picked this up thinking it might be one of Revells newer F-4 but it has turned out to be an old Monogram kit, which is not a bad thing, although the detail has raised lines it is quite good and you get two pilots one in the cockpit and the other walking out to the a/c plus you get a full bomb load.

I'm thinking of building it as one of the RAF F-4j a/c that the RAF bought to top up their numbers.

OK I know I've said I've banned myself from buying but whilst on one of our usual charity shop hunts I saw a volunteer walking through the shop with a box which had a very battered but complete 1/72 Italeri SR-71 on top.
I called him out of excitement and asked if it was for sale and to my supreme he said it will be for £2!

Sorry for going on but I wanted to share it with everyone :).

Don't blame you for going on about it Adam mate. £2 is a very fair bargain. Especially as the Italeri one has the D21 drone in it.

All the best.

At 1/144, the wingspan is still 18".
It's resin.

The parts picture is from their website, I haven't been into the bags yet.

Wish this had been out a month earlier, for the Bomber GB.

Only problem is they have a couple others, such as a Flash Gordon rocketship in 1/72, to tempt me ....

Well it's not my stash but my other half''s.
After RIAT Sal found a new love for models of aircraft in special schemes.
So she bought 2 German Tiger meet Tornado's, a USAF Tiger Meet F-16 and the Solo Turk F-16 all in 1/72nd and all Revell.

My stash has began growing again slightly as Charity shop temptations just keep coming.
Hobbyboss F-16C, Revell Hawker Hurricane Mk.II, Italeri Hirst Glider.
I also found an Air fix Hellcat I got basically for free as part of a deal for 2 Airfix Quickbuild's and that for a Tenner!
And came across a Revell MiG-21 that was in Toy Master in the half price sale.

I liked doing the last Saab so much I thought I'd have a crack at another - this time the straight wing B model. Necessary for this was a pair of straight-edged wings, bought from Maestro Models in Sweden (48 hour delivery window - ordered on Monday, received this morning. Match that, Hannants!)

Looks like a tidy piece of resin there. Now, has anyone got a Tunnan in their stash they wouldn't mind letting go of? It's for a good cause, market prices matched....
