This arrived today to add to my existing Thunderbird 2 & 4 kit (as yet un-built!) It should be pointed out that this boxing does not include T2 or T4, but does include all the other specialist vehicles used in the series

Some may recall my intention to (one day.... ) build a diorama from War of the Worlds, using a Zvezda Russian pre-dreadnought battleship as HMS Thunder Child. I have been looking for a readily available and affordable martian Tripod and finally found one from Ultimate Modelling Products; it is a recreation of the tripods as portrayed by a french book illustrator Alvim Correa in a translation of the original H G Wells book, and not the familiar machine from the Musical by Jeff Wayne. I may still scratch build a 'Jeff' tripod when I eventually get around to this project, but at least I have one tripod in stock now!
the kit: mainly resin, with white metal legs (oh, and a little drone thingy from Star Wars

And the original illustrations

I also got this for the 'One for the Books' GB (which will get started as soon as a certain French warship clears the bench... )

And this is destined for my grandson's ceiling!

I got it through work. Oddly enough this exact model has been through my hands about four years ago when I sourced it for someone. I paid exactly what it was aquired for then. I do admit I regretted not keeping it for myself then, odd how things turn out.

All the best.
