I thought I'd already posted this but as ever my memory is failing me!
I always remember building this as a young lad, painted in overall olive drab as I recall; this one will (eventually) get built in NMF
The box still has the original cellophane wrapping!

It could be a lot better - but it's the only game in town.

Bit of a bummer having stuff nicked. I heard that a trader at the same show also had a couple of decent quality new tool 1/35 military kits stolen too.

Amazed that somebody could get away with it in such a busy show. It's not a nice thing to happen when we display so much trust in leaving kits out for people to peruse.

On a happier note I did manage to bag a few bargains. I picked up the Revell 1/200 cutaway USS Andrew Jackson for a tenner. It's been on my wanted list for a while. A Trumpeter 1/72 T-55 tank (1958 model) really couldn't be left behind for just a fiver and bargain of the show was an Arai 1/72 Cessna Skyhawk. These fetch upwards of £20 on the rare occasions they appear on eBay so when I saw it was on sale for just £7 I grabbed it. Even better, it turned out to have 2 kits crammed into the box 8-)

And, like Shane, my purchases were more than covered by kits that I sold.

All in all it was rather a good weekend

That's part of the problem. A busy show, crowds milling about and busy vendors makes it easier for the thieves. What they don't think about is that their thieving makes the hobby more expensive for you guys. Stock lost to the thieves is an increase in the overheads for vendors which has to be covered, and unfortunately the only way this can be done is increasing prices.
Please, if you see someone shoplifting at a show let the vendors and/or the show organizers know. This helps us and thus helps you all.
Also it will put them off from stealing from you guys, sorry to hear what happened Shane.

Best regards.

Captain Tiger.

Back on topic now after that unfortunate news.

Seeing as I missed the Hudds show I decided to treat myself to some plastic, and the plastic in my wallet took a little bit of a hit.

Heller
1/72 DC6 firebomber.
Hasegawa
Mitsubishi Betty
Shin Meiwa PS-1.

All the best.

Nice collection Celt. I don't know about being a "loony" for not having a stash but certainly if I had my modelling time again I wouldn't amass a load of kits waiting to be built and would have no more than two or three in storage. A number of years ago when I started back in the hobby with far more buying power than I could muster in my youth I had "kid in a sweetshop" mentality and bought far too many kits over a two/three year period - stashes can get seriously out of control!
