Photobucket is playing games tonight...this was the partner in crime purchase that enabled the V-2...it is very big, almost 45cm, but very simple and could probably be knocked out by dinner...just waiting on instructions as mine was lacking them and it looks like there is a dodgy batch in circulation with the instructions missing...Takom seem to be going from strength to strength with these unusual subject and getting bigger at larger models...my money is on a 1/35 Atomic Annie and Teracruzer and Mace before not too long...before the Airfix 1/24 Defiant anyway...

Crikey Simon, that's a fair haul, even if it covers the whole of your time away from the forum! A big gun GB is on the cards I'd say!

I agree with you on the Takom kits, they seem to be getting better with each new release, although I have yet to tackle any of the ones in my stash so far so may end up eating my words  Looking at the plastic (a frequent pastime  :-D ) though, I suspect they are going to be enjoyable and straight forward builds 8-)

One or two but forgot about them when I posted the other night...will photograph and post tomorrow...

In the meantime, in the spirit of modelling mischief, here is a link to the full list of MaksArt's free models - 53 to date...all you need is 160gsm paper and a decent printer... https://yadi.sk/d/VN5kAjdPiFpfL;

Thanks for the link, strange, I'm in the Ukraine and my isp has a block on certain Russian media websites - basically to cut down on the propaganda putin's pushing into the country - bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut. Had to tell the computerit was in germany before the link would work!

Here you go, Splash...

A midget even in 1/33

The bipes are a 2 for 1 set

Image
This is a bit of a monster in 1/25, about 45cm...idea that it would be launched from a sub, crawl over the reef into the lagoon and launch the torpedoes against allied shipping...

They all look brilliant especially the Type4 KA-TSU, what a fantastic but flawed concept, I understand they took twenty minutes to prep and get of the back of the submarine, I can't imagine the Submarines Captain being too pleased about that idea.

A submarine tank and that crazy Goblin? Cool models!

The Goblin comes with a printed silver surface that gives you an OK NMF out of the book as it were...the risk, of course, is that you can't copy or reprint the parts if you have a whoopsy...looking at ways of using metal foil and then drawing panel lines etc over the top...I always intended to scale the 1/25 models down to 1/35 or 1/32 to have better access to accessories parts and details but the proliferation of 3D printing now probably means that it's easier to just print parts in 1/25 and make the model as-designed without less risk of scaling fit issues...

Decisions ....
Scale the 1/25 card model to 1/35 to use 1/35 aftermarket
. . . . or . . . .
Scale the 1/35 aftermarket part to 1/25 to print it for the 1/25 card kit

I just picked up this sweet little kit, the chequered pattern looks like a challenge, but appeals to my twisted idea of a fun challenge.

The last bar one of the current acquisition cycle...it was going too cheap on Trademe to walk away from...
Image
Very nice moldings of one of the rarer versions of this rare bird, with the dorsal and belly gun positions, and streamlined gunners' positions in the rear fuselage. Comes with parts for the tricycle undercarriage version that comes in another box...

One last, but quite large kit still in the mail...
