Certainly does.

That Wyvern sounds interesting. I reall must get mine finished. I only started it four years ago

A Rare kits GB  now that sounds like something that would wind up the collectors and cause a rift in the space time continuum. So sign me up immediately :-D

People of my own heart. With the added twist of evil with the conversion suggestion, NICE.
I'm going to have to put my money where my mouth is with this. I will be putting the suggestion forward in the G/B section quite soon.

All the best.

The trouble is I get out these lovely kits I put away in the late 70s, early 80s, notice the raised panel lines, and/or heavy rivets. Said kit then goes straight back to where it came from. Notably loft. Examples include Revell Condor and Frog Mustang.

Made SR53 would have gone to charity shop had I not become aware of how rare it is.

Is a Heller MiG-21 in its original yellow boxing rare enough for a Rare Kits GB?
Here´s a pic of the box:

hasn´t anyone suggested an Artem Mikoyan GB? would be suited for that theme (or others), too.

As about half of my uberstash are 'vintage' (older than 20 years) second hand unbuilt kits I would be game. But what decade or year could we all agree upon for it be considered an oldie?

My thoughts are from the 'golden age' of model making. The 70's and before. So lets say a cut off of around 1980? thoughts please folks.

All the best.

That sounds good, Greg. I would not be offended if you backed it up to 1975.

1980 or before sounds good. I have a Hasegawa Heinkel 51 in the ready stash allegedly from 1980 and hoping that would get under the wire. And by 'oldie' it also means no re-issues as well?

I'm afraid I let some oldie but goodies go to the street a year or so ago. My storage space is limited and I was trying to free up some space.
But I did keep a few.
Williams Brothers 1/72 C-46 Commando that is mid 1970's release.
Hasagawa/Minicraft 1/72 P2V-7 Neptune 1972 release.
Airfix 1/72 PBY Catalina 1979 release
ESCI ERTL 1/72 F-27 Friendship 1991 release
Italeri 1/72 C-119 1985 release

I don't think any of these are true classics, but they are what i have growing moss on the shelf of to be built.
