Oldies in the stash
Re: Oldies in the stash
I have two in the stash so I will have a go at crash molding a canopy for you. Can't promise on the result but it's worth a try.

Re: Oldies in the stash
I have a Frog Short Sealand built and ready for decals. I also have these two.
Quite a few Frogs hiding in the attic.
I am just starting on the early Beaufighter.

Re: Oldies in the stash
What's the collective name for a group of frogs I wonder?
Best wishes

Re: Oldies in the stash
The collective is 'a decent stash' lol.
Thats an impressive stack of Frog kits alright. I have quite a few of those myself and a few that are not there. Baltimore. P38 and Vimy spring to mind.
The Rapide is one I have never seen in the plastic before. I have four of thr Heller/Airfix one. How does it compare?

Re: Oldies in the stash
I've never seen the Frog Dragon Rapide but I would expect the Heller version to be much more refined and easier to build. There would be a 20 year gap at least between their respective dates of release. I think the Heller one dates from 1979.
Re: Oldies in the stash
The FROG Rapide is to a scale of 1/68, though it does not look too out of place in a 1/72 collection. I bought it in Rhyl circa 1963 and still have it (built, but perhaps in need of restoration).

A 'knot', apparently. And a group of octopuses (sp?) is a 'bitchslap'. That's an impressive collection (or knot) of antique Frogs you've got there, Chuck.iggie wrote:What's the collective name for a group of frogs I wonder?

A bitchslap of octopuses seems fun. Or maybe trouble.....Spaceowl wrote:A 'knot', apparently. And a group of octopuses (sp?) is a 'bitchslap'. That's an impressive collection (or knot) of antique Frogs you've got there, Chuck.iggie wrote:What's the collective name for a group of frogs I wonder?

I looked it up and apparently it is a tangle of octopus. I also see that knot of FROGs and think to myself, "Got 'em, got 'em, got 'em, need 'em...."

Re: Oldies in the stash
I have just read this thread from the begining and I am amazed and envious.I dont have a stash, oldies or otherwise,I buy and build,no more than three unbuilt kits at any time.I suppose its because as kid I would buy a kit from the local newsagent with my pocket money, build it straight away and hang it from my bedroom ceiling and then the following week buy another one and so on and so forth.
