Forgive me for posting this in the Small Talk section as it's a little way off strictly modelling related but I'm hoping it will catch more attention here.

We've posted in the General Chat section about a meet up at the Coventry and Warwickshire IPMS Show at the Midlands Air Museum and I was wondering who intends to come along? The show is in two weeks time, Sunday June 25th. The Cold War SIG will be displaying there so we could use the display as a meeting point.

I would have loved to have come to this but I have to go and defend the Alamo that weekend. Really.

I'll check the work roster tomorrow and let you know - I'll be going if I can as it is only an hours from here. I may even have my Tu95 finished if you want the Cold War table filling up?! :ha:

We might need a bigger table.

Actually we only have 2 tables so filling up the display space isn't going to be an issue.

I hadn't thought of that. How about midday. That should give everyone enough time to arrive.

We'll be at Braunceston, which is sort of the right direction but time won't permit getting any closer to Coventry I'm afraid
Best wishes

Curiously I enquire... Can you sail a barge ? Or is it just steered?

Technically it's not a barge as it has an engine and is therefore a narrow boat :ha: :-D (not that we narrow boat owners get touchy about this you understand...... :-D )

Narrow boats are steered, or driven. If you're very lucky and the wind is from dead astern then you could sail one but I'll leave it to you to persuade Mrs iggie to stand in the bows holding the best table cloth aloft :-D :-D
Best wishes
