Photobucket photos suppressed from 3rd party hosting

Post by skypirate »

I have just noticed that any photos I posted here from my free photobucket account are no longer viewable in the pages of this forum. It is now against the Photobucket rules, and you can get around it by upgrading your photobucket account for $399 p.a.
This means all my posts earlier than about Oct last year are affected.
Reference to al earlier posts is now a devoid of images.
It will be a huge task to restore those images from elsewhere.

Grrr.

Hmm I've seen this on other forums, it seems photobucket''s priority is no longer people like us but corporate customers.
I was going to transfer from Flickr to Photobucket but I'm so glad I didn't now!

Hi, both... please see this discussion thread:

http://www.uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15721;

and the announcement here:

http://www.uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15746;

The words "Please see the announcement about Photobucket and use the sticky thread for all discussions and questions." in the first topic on the home page are the giveaway (though if you only ever come in via "view new posts" you might not see it... ;-P

best,
M.
