Airfix Tribute Forum has gone [temporary glitch]
Hopefully only temporarily
but the Airfix Tribute Forum has disappeared
Getting a service page which says it does not exist
There was a threat of this back in May/June but it was thought that that was averted

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Re: Airfix Tribute Forum has gone
It vanished while I was browsing - read one topic, went to head back to see what else was active and got the 'does not exist' what you can/can't do post. Hope it is just a temporary glitch and the guys are onto it. Bad enough with the Photobucket nonsense, where will I be if I never get to post follow-ups to all my unfinished GBs?

Re: Airfix Tribute Forum has gone
I clicked on my browser link this afternoon to find that same 'does not exist' page. If they have simply purged the forum from their system it has gone forever and we have lost every single word we have ever typed there.

Re: Airfix Tribute Forum has gone
I can get the home page and some pages associated with it, but no forum pages.
Back in May/June when there was the threat of closure Dave Cov. put into work a back-up plan to preserve the ATF at that point

Re: Airfix Tribute Forum has gone
I have shut down my PC, re-started it, googled for 'airfix tribute forum' and have clicked on all the links that that brought up- all I get is the kill page.

Re: Airfix Tribute Forum has gone
quote from Dave Cov;
The Airfix Tribute Forum has been going up and down all day. Our original hosts (MYFF) were taken over a few months ago by Tapatalk who are now mucking about with the forums. They appear to be migrating stuff over to new servers and so forum are suddenly becoming unavailable. We should get an email a week before things happen but we haven't.......
When (and if) we find out what the hell is going on, I (or Ratch) will let you all know.

I was getting very worried- glad there appears to be reason behind the madness, will await news with chewed fingernails and bated breath.

Re: Airfix Tribute Forum has gone
Thanks for quoting me Fred - it saves me some typing.
Tapatalk took over our hosts when they had trouble earlier on in the year and faced closure. It appears to be payback time with Tapatalk migrating the old MYFF forum to their own servers. The ATF has been available for brief periods during today but as time has gone on it has disappeared from view.
It remains to be seen how soon it will reappear - BUT IT WILL!

Re: Airfix Tribute Forum has gone
The ATF has reappeared after it's temporary absence and normal(?) service has been resumed. We still don't really know why it happened!
