Airfix Tribute Forum has gone [temporary glitch]

Got something to say about the hobby of model making?

Me neither, I think this could get silly and may fray tempers- perhaps we should stop worrying and simply wait and see until something is known as all this is obviously totally out of our control.

Windows caches DNS entries IIRC so it can take a while for them to find websites when they have been moved

Right two posts have been removed because yet again people are breaking the very clear rules about commenting about other forums. It is fine to discuss whether ATF is up or down, and I hope their troubles are resolved soon, anything else will be removed by the admin team.

Question. Wouldn't the way forums treat their members be and how it impacts Airfix business and the hobby in general be a valid topic of discussion? I'd like to know as I would be interested in starting a thread and having a discussion about this.

In regards to ATF, it's still down at least here.

But it's not against the rules for the Mods to bully and threaten people.

Got it.

Don't think you have Saxon, it's just about keeping the peace and not annoying folk on other sites, relax.
I said earlier that this could annoy people and it is, why don't we just wait and see what happens, it will hopefully return eventually.

I just get sick of being threatened and bullied on these sites just for speaking out. People bang on about how the hobby isn't as popular and some worry Airfix/Hornby is going broke etc etc

Well look at some of these forums. Look at how people get treated.

It all makes an impact.

I don't think anyone is being threatened or bullied, the mods just ensure that the rules are followed, don't take such things to heart Saxon and it is a fact that the hobby isn't as popular as it once was during the 1960s-80s but I am certain that Airfix isn't about to go broke so don't worry about that.

You haven't had the PM's I have had then.

I don't care if Airfix go broke or not. My point is that treating their customers like trash on forums which bear the Airfix name isn't good customer service.

I don't feel that people who run these sites have an understanding of the damage they can cause.

It would appear that the Airfix Tribute Forum hosts are changing servers. Unfortunately, they have not let me know when this would occur or how long it will cause disruption. Please bear with us, we will be trying to restore normal service as soon as possible.
