Oops indeed!

I'll bet that was a 'your hat, my office' moment

Incidentally Ron, you must be the only person in the world who is still able to post photobucket hosted images (or did you pay the ransom demand :frown: )
Best wishes

Good to see that the ejector seat seems to have worked.

Most PB users have seen all their images on forums like this replaced with an image stating that the account needs to be upgraded (which seems to involve handing over about $400 for the pleasure!); you seem to be a rare exception :-D

I hadn't noticed the hole in the roof, was that really the seat banging out?
Best wishes

The roof debris is mostly on the outside; it could be from the bang-seat

I think that's how they got in to get the pilot out, I will look for the accident report and let you know.

Does anyone know what happened to make the Hunter crash like that? It looks like the worst taxiing error in history.

Scott Crossfield had a brake failure in an F-100 and taxied that into a hangar wall at Edwards Air Force Base.

Chuck Yeager used to joke, "The sonic wall was mine, the hangar wall was Crossfield's".

It's happened a few times over the years.
