Sitting outside with a cup of coffee this morning and I hear radial engines approaching. Looking up I have the most incredible view of a B-17 flying a full circle over head. After completing the 360 it banked off to the left and flew away.
To the aircrew: thanks for making my day fellas!

Re: B-17G over flight.
Wonder if it was the Collins Foundation aircraft? They were just up here in Connecticut recently

Possibly, it looked like Sentemental Journey. I saw on the news it was at our local airport this week.
Last year the wife and went out there and did the walk thru tour.

Re: B-17G over flight.
Cool treat. Last serious overcast we got here was early 2000's when the Hawaii Mars was in town for flight testing, or the occasional visit by RCAF Auroras down from Comox. Haven't seen a B-17 since the 1981 Abbotsford Air Show. Nice score though. Must have looked and sounded amazing.

Re: B-17G over flight.
While the Collins Foundation was up this way, I did happen to see their Mustang do a flyover. Bit of an an expense at $400 or so for a flight in the back seat though

$400 sounds very reasonable to me. Here in the UK you are looking at £2,500 for a flight in a two seat Spitfire.

We get Sally B rumble over occasionally when she's out and about from Duxford.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!
