Thank goodness she's ok. Unfortunately there are plenty of morons like that though. Have you contacted the police? It's because of things like this why insurance premiums are so high and why I am going to buy a dashcam.

All the best.

Glad to hear your wife is safe and the damage to your car is relatively minor....
I'm beginning to despair of driving standards nowadays and rarely enjoy driving like I used to. I have also just acquired a dash cam; no deterrent to those who don't give a toss about others I suppose but at least some peace of mind in the event of a claim or any event such as your wife suffered
Best wishes

Sounds like a very lucky escape; remember to buy her guardian angel a pint.

If it's any consolation, lunatics are nothing new. I clearly remember discussing the benefits of a pair of 50 caliber machine guns mounted in the bonnet as much as 35 years ago. My position on this is unchanged. (although these days, I'd prefer mounting them in a turret, to discourage tailgating  )

Due to legal issues, dashcams and quick reflexes will have to do

Scary - but a better outcome than it could have been.

Messerschmitt 410 type barbettes would allow you to keep facing forward.

Main thing is that Mrs KP is OK. Alas there are plenty of idiots on the road who aren't fit to drive a Dinkey car, let alone the real thing

I've still got three bikes  two weeks ago a lady driving a car coming towards me was on my side of the road, she had her head down below the dash, looked like she was changing a cd. Only the road bended but she didn't, I nearly had to mount the pavement to avoid the collision. Trouble is, there aren't as many coppers about as there used to be and some people just drive like real idiots.

Glad she's ok. Do buy a dash cam. I have one and find it very useful. They really don't cost much these days.

I'm thinking of putting another in the rear windscreen, as there are just as many idiots behind as in front.
So many models, so little time.

Was the same 39 odd years ago when I was couriering around London, only difference is, it's spread to a lot more smaller towns.
Even in places like Snodland or Strood, my heads swivelling constantly.

Anytime i think I've seen it all, some idiot proves me wrong.
