I'm wondering how well the Eiii and BE2 sold for Airfix, and if anymore WWI aircraft are in store. Have any of.you heard any rumors?

No rumors or no biplanes?

Did the two not do too well?

I think both Eindecker EII and the BE2C did well enough. Airfix did a second boxing of the BE2C and I expect more.

I tried to get info out of the Airfix guys at Telford; not a word would they say about biplanes, they kept avoiding straight answers which might mean there is something planned because they talked freely why they aren't going to do a new Eurofighter Typhoon or F-35

I anticipate a new Sopwith Camel 2F1 in 1/72 to replace the really old one, with maybe a new 1/72 Fokker DR1 for the Red Baron both for their 100th Anniversaries

So why aren’t they going to do an F-35 or a Eurofighter Typhoon?

They can't get the plans nor photos and measurements of the aeroplanes and equipment installations - still secret. For their new kit Revell got their info off a retired German Eurofighter stripped of the secret stuff

The 2018 AMW calendar has both a Sopwith Camel and a Eurofighter as aircraft of the month. Hopefully this isn't wishful thinking but indicative of plans for 2018.

Duh yeah I forgot about that.

I did think there ought to be something for the end of the war.

I saw those on the calender too but didn't dare hope that it might indicate future new tools.... but a new Camel would be most welcome indeed; the question is what scale?
I noticed today the Airfix website is now showing the Phantom, B-25 and Sea Fury have slipped back to January for release now..... :-|
