Just Started again after many years - circa 40 plus
Probably typical but I've gone stupid - I had an old 1:32 scale Mosquito but was tempted by a 1:72 Sunderland after getting caught by traffic on M6 and choosing to spend my waiting time at Cosford. Came back and bought a load of modelling gear and joined the AIRFIX Club then started a 1:72 Curtis Tomahawk IIB kit in March 2016 cheap from ALDI, built the cockpit and painted a few parts then nothing, but god knows what happened at the end of October 2017 but I've bought two 1:24 Mosquitos, 1:24 Typhoon, 1:24 Spitfire VB plus 1:48 Walrus, Special edition Spitfire and Dogfight Double Spitfire plus 109, Stuka , P40B and Mustang - Blenheim on pre order. Good news is 1:72 Tomahawk is nearly complete except for painting but I've bought an Airbrush and compressor , loads of Vallego paints and a fantastic magnifying lamp -
And its all your fault - :-) I'll post a picture when I work out how to reduce size of image.

Welcome to the forum; your symptoms are far from unique and are quite untreatable I'm afraid...... the two mossies suggest you are hooked totally and utterly, at least as far as buying kits is concerned anyway.... making them is of course something else entirely!

Welcome to the playpen. I have that same affliction. Terminal case In my case. I will probably get burried with a half built kit in my hands. Seroiusly though (not something you hear here very often.) Welcome to one of the friendliest model forums on the net. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your builds.
All the best

Welcome to the forum. That's a very impressive bunch of purchases. If you can still find one - last months Airfix Magazine came with a free supplement on modelling the Mosquito, a nice magazine in itself, which heavily features the 1:24 Airfix version.
Look forward to seeing your builds.
Cheers

Thanks for the welcome and supportive messages. Found my masking tape time expired so waiting for new before painting lol. Also trimmed undercarriage wheel locator from part thinking it was sprue so will be robbing my other P40 kit and building that one wheels up! My new lamp should stop me doing that again hopefully :-/

You will know when you are hooked, a carpet monster will nest under your workbench and eat all the important parts of the kit when you aren’t looking.

My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

I hate cutting off a little bit then finding out it is the anchor point for the part, or a detail that now makes it look wrong once it's gone
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!
