That is what I would probably put at the top of the guess list too. After all, we did hear officially, a good while back, that there was one in the pipeline, and so if they have been stalling, over actually releasing, but have it ready to drop out, it may now be time for it, and if there are not a lot of other new releases coming from them, releasing it now will cause a good buzz and chat among the many forums etc.iggie wrote: I have to say, my money is on a new Vulcan......
Alas though, whatever it is that gets announced, we can only hope that it is cutting edge and good technology etc etc.
I know we have not had many new small scale tanks in last 10 years, but when the Cromwell appeared, it was great and had some good new concepts and features for tanks from Airfix, in how it went together etc, and then when the Tiger II came along couple year after, it was a step back by comparison with the fit and concepts it presented. Equally, when the Afghan range came out and some of the items in that range were good, (jackal/coyote/warrier) and others (landrovers) not quite the ticket.
Having had a good look through the Revell range for 2018, there are a few nice new items in there, and a fair number of re-releases and collaborative reboxings. So whatever Airfix come up with next week, we need to look at their overall offerings, in line with others. Both Masterbox and Miniart have a few nice new offerings in their catalogues that have caught my eye too.
What is nice, is the option to download catalogues as PDF's from some of these companies.
