Hey folks.
I've just finished a major sorting out of the stash to try and fill up more room and in the process me and my Mrs made a list of all the kits we have and in total there is 204 kits in our stash.
Would this be considered a decent amount or are we still at a low point compared to everyone else?

I have a fair few more but over 200 is more than respectable.

Fifteen in the stash, one in the post, one on the bench. Basically I'm not even trying, sorry chaps.

Around 40 kits. And that's too much, I hate it. I want to get it down so I can go back to 'Buy a kit - Build a kit', a one at a time situation. Going to shows is my weakness.........

The stash holds +/-400ish kits.
This mediocre sized hoard was built up under the guise of being a retirement activity, which seemed an acceptable excuse for my wife at the time. The truth, though, is that I'm like a pack-rat in the five-n-dime every time I hit an LHS.
I even like to sit and feel the parts of these kits, imagining what breath of life I give to animate the simple plastic pieces.
Sometimes, it bothers me that the stash is so large. That feeling quickly goes away when I look at the high price of today's kit, and consider the shipping cost to go with it. With that in mind, I can rest easy and feel my plastic in joy.

I would say that any stash, from one to a thousand is entirely respectable.

Mine hovers around the 350-380 mark, because:
I like collecting things, and kits are as good a thing to collect as anything else;
I like building said kits;
I like to have a furtle through the boxes from time to time (it's a good stress reliever);
my wife encourages me
I have reduced will-power as most of it is used to resist smoking (3 years, 14 days and 21 hours)

My stash currently stands at 688. It has increased over the past few years but the rate of increase has slowed recently.

Mine has held steady at around 50 but I consider that to be too many really (although that number pales into insignificance compared to some of you guys ) and I'm trying not to buy any more this year - we'll see how long that resolution lasts, my bet is no further than the Huddersfield show next month, but I'll try to stay strong

6 at the W.I.P. stage, and 3 magazine 'partworks' collections that are about half-built.

I'd like to get the stash figure down to less than 50, but it's slowly edging upwards, and I really want to avoid it breaking the 100 mark if I can.
Building rate has been slow lately though, and there's so many nice looking kit out there these days.
