Not good indeed. This kit has been jinxed from the start. I bought it many years ago when it was first released by Revell. I was taken in be the nice new box that revealed a tired old kit. Does that sound familiar? I started building anyway. Realised I had the tub at an angle. Prised the fuselage apart to correct it. Snap went the fuselage. Odd though that the tub was straight when I had left it to set.. later on the model fell off the workbench. I hadn't noticed this and you can guess the result. One size 8.5 shoe later..... Luckily the wings broke off clean. The fuselage however was a mess. I repaired the fuselage but by this time was completly hacked off with it so I bagged it up and there it stayed until the start of the Krap Kits gb. Now this happens. I will beat the damn thing eventually.

Holy Crapiziod. But we can try-build it. We have the technology.

Life's too short Greg. Bin it and start something else.

Oh dear, oh deary me. What that needs is filler, sanding and above all much patience, grasshopper. Or take Darryl's advice and fly it into the bin!

I am not one to let things beat me so the bin, though tempting is not an option. The wing has been glued and filled and is setting. I will put an update in my workbench thread when there is progress to show.

How about - cut out the broken section of wing - insert and glue a piece of balsa wood - sand to aerofoil shape - cover with skin of 10 thou. plastic card - scribe to match. Nobody will ever know.
What's the kit? I can't work it out.

Re: pain is...
Or cut the a/c straight down the centre line, throw away the broken half and then mount the good half on a plaque or mirror and hang it on the wall.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.
Re: pain is...
Cheers for the feedback guys. It's the Revell re-pop of the old Monogram Skyraider kit. I have managed to rescue it by inserting a piece of plastic card into the wing and butt joining the wing. Then sand-fill-sand the cracks. I have lost some detail buy on this dog of a kit that is probably a good thing. I bought this thing in about 1992 iirc. The plastic may have gone brittle, not sure though but hey ho. Thems the breaks, quite lliterally in this case.

Re: pain is...
I was going to say that it looks like the Old 1\72 Monogram A-1E kit. I have one of those waiting in the stash. Interesting that Monogram is the only maker to produce that particular, and most versatile model of the Skyraider in this scale.

Re: pain is...
It can be fixed. When I was building the old FROG/Novo E28/39 a while ago I dropped it on to a tiled floor and one of the wings snapped like that. I was able to glue it back together again with a bit of internal support and it turned out quite well. Just look on it as an extra assembly task. After all, it's a kit made up of multiple components. This just adds a couple of extra pieces to the assembly process.
