But currently, 20$+ plus ridiculous postage is not very wallet friendly.

Picked up this bunch for $12, the Frog catalog is from 1966, Ward's other Airfix book, an interesting little handbook on the Battle of Britain and a 1988 encyclopedia of 1/72 kits that includes a lot of photos of rare stuff.

My parents have been visiting from England. They surprised me by bringing some of the old hard-cover Biggles books I bought in my youth, and that I thought they'd disposed of years ago!

Biggles Flies East
Biggles Flies South
Biggles Takes a Holiday
Biggles in Australia
Biggles in Spain
Biggles Delivers the Goods and
Biggles of 266

In addition there was one paperback, Biggles Charter Pilot.

All are in pretty rough but readable condition, and date from 1949 -1965, with most being mid-50's editions. Cool!

I picked up the encyclopedia last year at Cosford. I remember it coming out and being advertised. It's very interesting though with a slight bias towards certain producers.

Read through about half, the author obviously favors French companies and a lot of cottage stuff, vacs and so on.

Lots of good photos and the lists are valuable in the back.

Some decals and a Profile for the Ford Trimotor:

The colour plates have given me some ideas about markings for the Airfix kit. Might be tricky masking that corrugated surface though!

I hadn't realized quite how many Fokker DIII and DV I had, so some more decals were needed :)
