Stocked up on modelling supplies

Post by Ratch »

I was going to post in the Great Stash Additions thread, but these aren't stash items, so I thought I'd start a thread where anyone could add their latest purchases:

These arrived today.

Microset was £10.99 and the airbrush £15.63 - bargain

Over the last few weeks I've stocked up on moulding rubber, two types of resin and some pigments for them.
I can mould parts in colour closer to their finished colour now, eg engines in metallic black and ejection seats in grey rather than creamy white. And I can now make replacement clear parts in crystal clear resin.
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Nice Idea Ratch!
I usually just add it to the Stash thread but I'd feel better with them here!

A good idea that but I think I'll do a monthly post because I regularly pop out just for a tub of paint.

did a bit of shopping around online and a bit of research and came out of it with a bottle of this. From what i can make out this is the original formula that modelers used years ago. As you can see this is clear compared to the milky new formula, £12 from ebay with free shipping so more expensive than it used to be but with 798ml it's gonna last me years and probably still cheaper than model brand gloss's.

I've dipped a couple of canopy parts and the finish is great, pics don't really show it but the finish is smooth and glossy

I'm guessing that orders that I placed last week, are not going to get delivered now.

I would think that Ebay will be on hold, too.

I know it's hard to believe, but Model Shops are not regarded as Essential.
