The green - even though you just said it was Tamiya Dark Green!Softscience wrote:Thanks guys.
Andrew, what looks like bronze green primer?
I used tamiya's sky s for the bottom, and dark green up above. The dark earth is Vallejo British Uniform color. The nose is a mix of tamiya's yellow and white. Not sure about ratio. I just kept adding white to yellow until I liked the shade.

If that is all brush painting on the Blenheim and Spitfire, it is very well done, Ralph.
Those Vallejo shades look great, too.
cheers,
David

Nah, its all airbrush, but thanks anyway
I'm nearly done. Just a few final details, but they'll have to wait until after I return from my 10-day deployment for work.
So for now...
I may have used the wrong propeller hub.

Wow, that's really smart, Ralph!
Just ordered one of these kits and, after seeing this, I can't wait!

'Tis a thing of beauty Ralph. What's up with the prop spinner? it looks good to me but I'm no expert on Spitfires.

Ralph, very nice indeed. And the yellow cowling just howls 'My cousin fights for Kreutzes!' Seriously though, I am thrilled to see it finished and you back at the bench.

Thanks guys.
John. Thanks. I know seeing a 1/48 spitfire must be anathema for you, so your kind comment means a lot.

That is wonderful Ralph, a great job. I'm not certain I've ever seen a 1/48th Spitfire built on here before

Nice Spifire!
Sometimes the talent consists exactly in that: try five dozen times when others stop at three dozen...! (F.Labelle)
I think that modeling is a subtle mix of zen philosophy and absolute crazyness - but in my case I would not dare to specify the respective percentage of each......
