Excellent read, and I was lucky enough to meet Rowland White at Newark Air Museum a few years ago; a thoroughly nice gentleman
Best wishes

Moving on, I fancied something quick and different, delved into my storage boxes and pulled this out

The runner still bears the Matchbox code PK-76 with MADE IN CHINA obliterated (almost) :ha:

It's a lovely, quick, Saturday afternoon build

The original diorama base has been retained as are three figures (poses from P5003) included 8-)

Nice work, Ratch! I had this plus a few other Matchbox armour kits back in the day and loved them. Wish I still had the Puma.

I built a Matchbox issue of the Puma on here a while ago for the Ted Taylor tribute GB. It is a nice little kit (although the decals in mine weren't the best) and that looks great Ratch 8-)

Those 1/76 Matchbox/Revell kits are the best. Yours is looking great!

I have three Esso Tank Wagons, R1, 02656-3 and Dapol C36 packs and I have some Platform Figures 03625-2 that I intend to paint up

Matchbox Puma was always one of faster and very rewarding models. You built it very nicely.

Thank you
Well I don't seem to have much luck with railway kits lately  The Dapol kit has broken parts
Image

and a number of missing parts
Image

I have cut and bent a replacement sign plate :ha:
Image

and I'm reconstructing the missing part of the ladder
Image

All three tanks assembled, there will be a substitute screwdown valve on the grey Dapol one ;-)
Image

I then had to scratch two vacuum brake cylinders that were missing from the Type 3 box
Image
I've used the metal wheels supplied in the Dapol kit on the Type 4 boxing :)
