Re: Paul's Attempts
I have started my next project. It is the Hasegawa 1/200 AC-130. It's a nice kit although some of the panel lines are a little weak. I suppose at this scale you would not really see them anyways.
I chose to depict the gunship in flight so will reposition the flaps.
I wanted the aft ramp open so you could see inside so I added some greebles to busy things up a bit. Not accurate but fun to do. I put a magnet in the fuselage for the stand that I will place the aircraft on. It fit nicely inside the room for the operator so you can't see it.
The inner scratch built part of the gun trial fit to see if I could get it line up the outer part of the gun.
I still have more work to do on the roof of the cargo area.
I made a little figure to add some life inside. Not up to Purplethistle's figures that's for sure but luckily you won't see much of my figure on the inside.
Cheers guys,

Re: Paul's Attempts
That is some spectacular greebling Paul; it would look grand at 1/72 let alone 1/200
Best wishes
Jim
If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Flaps down! interior details! 1/200th crew members! all done by scratch. A man after my own heart. Excellent work, Paul.

Amazing work on the Herc, Paul! The interior details look great, and the plane will look spectacular with the ramp down! How did you do the human figure?

Absolute stunner of a Macchi, and love the extras in the 1/200 Herc.
I am looking at a 1/72 Herc right now, so I can imagine how small that fuselage is.
Cheers,
David

Wow to your Herc! I have never seen the kit but you are putting it right on my 'acquisitions' list. I like the internal work a lot.

Beautiful little airplane
Re: Paul's Attempts
Thanks Iggie. The nice thing with it being small is a few bits and bobs make it look interesting. If the model were bigger I would run out of gas before I finish it.iggie wrote:That is some spectacular greebling Paul; it would look grand at 1/72 let alone 1/200

Thank you Shaun. A little detail goes a long way in this scale. I used to be able to do this work unaided however as the years go by I have been forced to wear those nasty magnified lenses!ShaunW wrote:Flaps down! interior details! 1/200th crew members! all done by scratch. Since most of it will be covered up maybe it is slight of hand!dollar19 wrote:Looking forward to your magic.
