The panther D was a joy to build so the zvezda tiger 1 was also started

Image
it has less parts (63) than the panther D(97) and not quite as well fitting as the panther
this is the wheels ,hull and turret put together

Image
and with all the small parts, tools added and now ready to be primed
Image
for me the detail on these zvezda snap fit kits is nice and comparable with the likes of dragon & revells small armour kits
and i will certainally be looking to buy some more
cheers craig

restarted the 1/35 italeri Dodge WC51 but box and sprues shots first

this was to be an xmas build but only the wheels were put together ,so i needed to restart it, i got going again on it on sunday and have the chassis parts glued along with the bonnet ,rad and side covers, its being done as a Soviet WC51 without the winch to go with a Zis -3 field gun but i'm finding it hard to find any Soviet reference photo's on google etc

Zvezda has produced a cracking early versions of Panther and Tiger I there, Craig and I also really like the look of that Italeri Dodge. A great start to the new year there on your bench!

Spent some more time on the dodge truck this evening but took 3 attempts to get the bonnet and engine side covers fixed to the chassis and cab deck, 1st towing to the left ,then right rear of it too high ,3rd attempt looks ok though the bumper might have to be realigned also built up & fixed rear section

That canvas tarping looks very realistic.
I hope you post your paint process as you go along, as I'm very curious how you fellows paint your vehicles after its put together entirely. Seems it would be harder than painting modules before glue, as is my habit.

Following with interest.

Some vehicle kits, particularly older ones, can be tricky customers when it comes to aligning the body parts, Craig, but that is looking good now. Have you permanently attached the canvas top? if so that may well make painting the interior difficult.

spent a couple of hours adding some smaller parts to the dodge truck and filling and sanding a few areas no pics but also finished putting together a set of 1/35 figures from dragon which i'm using as a 1st/practice effort before building the artillery crew for the Zis-3 gun

the panzergrenadiers (arnhem 1944) set is not of a period of the war i was looking to model so looking at the figures could anyone tell me if they are suitable to paint as earlier(1943) panzergrenadiers to go with a kursk conflict AFV such as a Wespe

thanks craig

Looking good Craig.
I was half tempted to build my Cheiftain Tank but decided to tried it for the Kinetic F-16I Sura.
