Fred's Breakfast Bar

Post by Canuck2016 »

Good day all

I'll post some works-in-progress in the hope that it will motivate me to finally get them finished! First up is Tamiya's 1:35 StuG III. An older kit, but still very nice with perfect fit throughout. Just some hatches and external stowage to go! ;-)

Nicely done Fred, that looks great. Old Tamiya kits have stood the test of time well in my opinion and I still very much enjoy building them. Many modern armour kits are just getting too expensive for me to justify.

Lovely build. Great finish work.

The tank looks very nice Fred. As you know I am not much of a tank fan, but your weathering is always good. Are you going to fashion blankets or sandbags for the outside? Do you use oil for your wreathing?

Hope you are having better weather than we are.

Cheers from Ottawa.

Hello folks!

Thank you very much for the kind words of encouragement!

I finally finished the StuG III. Again, a terrific kit from Tamiya, and a very enjoyable build.

Great work Fred, I really like what you have done with that - it looks like a vehicle that has seen service but the weathering is not over the top 8-)

Nice job on the Stug Fred. Those old Tamiya kits certainly stand up well despite their age. 8-)

Love your work Fred. I see you have done the reflective technique on the periscopes. Well used!
