Yes, the remake is obliged by Hollywood to give current audiences more bang for their buck.
The original used a C-82 if I remember correctly.
Cheers,
David

Yes it was a C-82. But the interior shots were in a C-119 as well.

I didn't know that! Interesting to see just how similar they are, aside from the fuselage.dollar19 wrote:Yes it was a C-82. But the interior shots were in a C-119 as well.

Poor Fred! I'm afraid we've totally upended his thread.

Re: Fred's Breakfast Bar
Good day, all!
Finally creeping forward again on the Arado, and got the floats attached to the fuselage. I dreaded the alignment of the parts, but it all went pretty well. The front and rear struts are each moulded as one piece, and the attachment points are pretty beefy, with a good, positive fit. Again, a nice job by Revell! Rather than attach the struts to the floats, then find they didn't align with the fuselage (or vice-versa!), I glued the whole schmeer together at once, then placed it on my cutting board, using the grid to help alignment while the glue dried. The recommended weights in the tips of the floats worked well, and the whole thing sits upright happily enough. We'll see what happens when the wings go on.
This is an exciting time for me, as the major assemblies (wings, fuselage, and floats) are mostly done, so now it's time to slap it all together and watch it take shape!
All the best!

Re: Fred's Breakfast Bar
This was looking good even only as a series of sub assemblies and is looking brilliant now it is coming together!
Best wishes
