Re: A Kit Bashers Bench
You doing some fine models. The Stilleto is amazing and the 109 is a little jewel. Keep after it man.
Re: A Kit Bashers Bench
Thanks Saxon, much appreciated. The scheme is real it's just that the colours are wrong,I have just switched to Velljo acrylics and did not buy any Luftwaffe colours,so had to use the closest colours I had.Saxon wrote:The Stilleto looks good, that colour would have worked well with Japanese markings too. Sorry if I missed it but that BF-109, is that a real scheme or a what if?

That 109 looks superb Celt - Nice work.
I'm glad to see that you're experimenting with other brands of paint. I've just bought a few sets of those Hataka paints and a few Tamiya RAF colours. When I get back from hols I'm intending on doing a side by side test to see how they paint.

Thanks SirT,I find these Vallejo work quite well with a hairy stick, but you have to prime first or they just rub off.Have a nice holiday and I look forward to your paint test.Sir T wrote:That 109 looks superb Celt - Nice work.

Here is my latest ham fisted attempt. It is the old Airfix 1/48 Hurricane.
All paints are acrylic and slapped on by hairy stick.

No. 303 squadrons lesser known days as a night-fighter unit? ;)
I'm teasing, but it looks cool.

Nice job Celt; it looks very sharp and tidy
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Re: A Kit Bashers Bench
I did have 85 sq decals but they broke up and disintergrated and as I am a lazy modeller,I could not face stripping the paint so I added some spare decals from another Hurricane.Softscience wrote:No. 303 squadrons lesser known days as a night-fighter unit? ;)

Re: A Kit Bashers Bench
I think that is a nice tidy looking Hurricane, Celt, together with a natty 109 Gustav. It's good to see you are still at it! Top work that I would have commented on sooner but we've been away on our jollies for two weeks.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.
