Thanks much appreciated.
PGAS wrote:Sweet Celt! Very nice 109. They paint job is quite smooth. Do you use any kind of retarder in your paint as I find acrylic dries soooo fast?
Thanks PGAS,no retarder just a drop of acrylic thinners in the pot and a couple of ball bearings, brush as normal.
dollar19 wrote:Celt!! You've been scamming us! What a fine model. There isn't a thing I'd complain about! I'm glad you pushed on through with it. I'd call that one a top shelf build! Congratulations!
Thanks dollar19 I am afraid the photo hides many flaws.

Not in my experience! They usually show up the ones I'd missed!
Yours don't show any
Best wishes

Hi Celt. Did the Stiletto come with two sets of engines? Nice paint job on the one set. Way to bring out the details.

Hi PGAS,Drybrushing is frowned upon by most modellers these days, but I still do it.I can not use the oils and powders that constitute weathering nowadays. The second engine is from a previous attempt at this kit. :grin:This time,I am going to do a Whif, instead of trying to brush paint the beast white,as it is supposed to be.

That's some fine painting you've done there. Who cares the technique, it's the result that matters.

That '109E is a great looking build, Celt, very well done with it. I don't build a great number of wartime Luftwaffe subjects myself either but the '109 is a favourite of mine. Looking forward to seeing what your whiff scheme is for that Stiletto!

I agree. It also looks very sci-fi, in an Angel Interceptor-y kind of way 8-)
