That Albatros is a stunner, Ralph and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your Lee and Walrus builds. Excellent choice of subjects on the go here.

I went for a minimal effort on the interior. Just some judicious shading and a heavy wash.

It's a dirty bird, but mist won't be visible.

All that detail looks rather overdone in bare plastic but really looks good with some paint and weathering.

All this detail is making me pine for the simplicity of a 72nd scale build. I might start the Special Hobby Barracuda, that I received for Christmas, from my aunt.

The Walrus interior looks excellent, Ralph and it's a pity quite a lot will likely be hidden once the fuselage halves are closed. That said, what can be seen will look nicely busy.

I've hit a bit of a snag with the walrus. I started to close up the fuselage, and then added some tape belts for the pilot. But since I'll be building the version with the open canopy, I realized the lack of belt hardware will really be obvious, and take something away from the model. So I need to come up with something.

I'm finding it really difficult to stick to a project, lately.

I've been messing around with the Airfix P-40, but I'm unenthusiastic about it. I also pulled out Tamiya's 1/48 JS-2 from the stash. Maybe a quick build is what I need?

This is where I am after only two evenings of work. I should have it ready for painting after tonight. Hard to believe that these two are the same scale.

Also back on the bench is ICM's 1/72 I-5. A fussy and difficult kit, but a fun challenge.

I'm a bit of a fan of WW II Soviet armour and that JS-2 looks very nice, Ralph - I'm surprised how large the P-40 fuselage is in comparison though! I suppose planes are like that though, quite large structurally but full of air

Busy looking bench Ralph; sorry to see the Walrus stalled; hopefully you'll get cracking on that again soon. The JS-2 looks an interesting bird; Russian I assume?

BRIGHT RED!!!

Inspired by some on this site

I built up the whole model before painting. Given that the strut fit was a bit tricky, this approach saved me from a gluey smeared paint mess.

Now I just need to rig the thing. But first, I'll give the paint a few days to dry.
