It was a really fun finish to paint. You might find yourself enjoying it too.

I'm loving the streaks! That is looking seriously good

I may have to acquire something with such a scheme soon.

If the build then paint experiment doesn't work, it ain't my fault!

Shame about the Junkers Ralf - that would have been a very interesting type to have added to your collection. The tripeplane is coming on very well though - hopefully that will be finished soon and we will be able to admire it properly.

Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the Camel - I have read and heard from a fellow modeller that there are one or two tricky elements there but with care they can be overcome. Best of luck with that one.

Thanks for the comments.

The camel arrived yesterday. What's inside is quite impressive.
It's 72nd scale little brother (the Roden kit) came too. Also an impressive little kit.

Meanwhile, it's home stretch for the fokker. I have finished pretty much everything aft of the engine.

A bit more playing around with oils for some effects, and I need to fix the cross decal, which got damaged from excessive handing of the kit (I was tending to pick it up at that point).

That is a lovely triplane. The streaking is as good as any that I have seen (and I have seen some very good examples before), and the yellow nose looks just right. Excellent model.

That's a real stunner. The weathering and streaky paint looks perfect!

I've been all over the place with builds, the last month or so.

Most of my effort has gone into a Wingnut Wings Albatross D.V, which I started around 2011. I finally got back to it after some practice with the smaller biplanes.

Here are a few pics taken over the last few weeks

Wow! Lots going on, and all of it looks fabulous.
What do you think of the Takom kit? I've just added some of their 1/35 armour to my stash and they look petty good in the box
