So this is what the old workbench looks like at present:

Can you guess what the two current projects are? A fabuous prize awaits!*

* Fabulous prize not necessarily fabulous; objects in mirror may be closer than they appear; side effects include sneezing, coughing, rash and death - do not take on an empty stomach.

Looks like a Stirling transport conversion MkIV? And a Battle with the corrected nose - presumably both conversions from Valiant Wings?

So you are Battling with plastic but doing a Stirling job... :D :D :D

Not much done last weekend - busy with other stuff - but I managed to finally get the Stirling nose blended in to my satisfaction. ONe long round of filling and sanding after another.....

No pics here, nothing to see, move along, nothing to see.....

Cheers!

Not a lot got done this weekend either..............

I was going to spend a couple of hours at the bench this morning while the family was out shopping, but Danielle found a stray dog while she was out and we took care of her instead, while trying to find someone to take her. Very large, very old female Collie, no tags and not microchipped, well fed but hadn't been groomed in forever. Anyways, the lcoal animal shelter took her even though they weren't strictly speaking open today, so hopefully she'll find a great new home.

And then I went to a friend's for BBQ this arvo. Upshot - no modelling.....but a good day nevertheless.

I spent quite a while getting the new nose faired in, them a bit more of a while getting the thing sanded down and re-scribed properly. Paintwork started with some light black  as an undercoat to see what needed cleaning up, followed by a coat of white on the wings and rear fuselage for the stripes. This was suitably masked off and another coat of light black applied, then the stripes were completely masked off for the camo coats, which went on today. Hasn't turned out to shabbily.

Paul, that looks very nice. What did you use to affix the clear nose. It looks spotless

Yeah, that nose perspex looks great. Seamless. Nice.
Really nothing pithy to say.
