Here's where the Travel Battle set is...

I also dug out these Hat Prussian Dragoons that I painted in 2006

They have stood the test of time quite well, but I wanted to change them to 5th Dragoner (Brandenburgisches, ‘Prinz Wilhelm von Preussen’). A quick going over of the facings and they were ready for mounting

Have you bought an extension set for Travel battle? I'm intrigued by it but I wasn't sure if it was upgradable. (BTW, like the Prussian cavalry. Are those not Hussars though?)

The Battle Travel all came in the box, though I expect extra bases and parts may be bought - I haven't looked into it.
The Prussian cavalry are Dragoons ;-)

That Travel Battle set actually looks very good, Ratch and certainly the neat looking baseboard is preferable to gaming on a lumpy tablecloth! Does the set come with its own specific rule book or are you using rules from another source?

Hi Shaun, it has its own rules that seem quite simple - even to me :ha:
The baseboards interlink, regardless of which direction they face 8-) its a clever concept

Next up, three Battalions of Dutch Infantry. I'm using HäT 8025 Waterloo Dutch Infantry and HäT 8096 Netherlands Militia supplemented with two of the Waterloo1815 Mounted Officers that were recently completed.
Image
Set 8025 are Flank companies, although the officer can be used with the centre companies and the shoulder rolls are not defined on the standing, firing figure, so this too can be used in the centre companies. Set 8096 is half Dutch and half Belgian (obviously I shall only use the Dutch figures here), which gives me enough figures for the three Battalions

Ratch, I am always at awe with the battalions of souls you have in your workshop. Quite a learning experience for me as well.

Fantastic work Ratch; such attention to detail in such large numbers is awesome!
Best wishes

Thanks iggie
To deal with the 8096 Belgian centre companies, I needed some Belgic caps for the 8025 flankers. I took them from the Airfix 01745 Waterloo British Infantry, stuck on with superglue gel

You are turning out some great figures, Ratch. Are you are regular wargamer or do you tend to dip in and out of it?

Hi Shaun, I've never wargamed, but I like painting the Napoleonic uniforms. I've never found wargaming rules that are easy to understand :ha:
