weathering

Post by alecras234 »

Hi, Happy New Year to you. I would like advice on weathering my airfix models. I want to weather my 1 72 spitfire, i think i'm going to use a clay wash because i can wash the model all over let it dry and then rub it off but im going to leave areas so the model looks dirty, what do you think? Also, I was given a tank kit, i bought Humbrol dark earth and Humbrol rust weathering powders, how do i weather the tank with these powders please?

I myself have minimal experience with tank weathering, so I'll leave that for others.
The 'clay' wash sounds very bold, but if it rubs off without damaging your finish and decals etc, sure, give it a try. I would practice on something else that you can afford to lose!

Best wishes for 2017!
