Nice interior on the Wellington. Great salmon pink. Not sure how much will be visible, mind.

Pretty much absolutely nothing! :-D Still, as they say, I know it's there

Some rapid progress was made over the weekend, between working and some family stuff; assembly is now pretty much complete bar the turret, cockpit and fuselage glazing, and I've got a first coat of Dark Earth on the topsides. Having never seen the top surface detail of an intact Wellington, I can't comment about the accuracy or otherwise of the surface detail on this kit. I suspect though that as the paint goes on and especially after a good matt coat it will be less defined and less obvious. It will be interesting to compare with the NT Airfix release in due course
Assembly complete:

And with some Dark Earth on top:

Thanks Ian 8-)

Last night saw another hour at the bench, just before a great thunder storm (no flooding as seen elsewhere in the UK thankfully; I always feel for those flooded as it must be miserable  )

That's looking really nice, Iggie, the surface texture looks most convincing under a layer of paint.

Cheers Mike, it certainly looks more restrained as I suspected it might. I think once decalled and with a coat or two of W&N Matt varnish, it'll flatten right down

Just catching up on the site, some lovely work you've produced iggie. Particularly like the B-17. I have this in the stash and I'll be referring to your build when I get to it.

The weathering on the barge is top notch too!

Thank you  I'm glad you like the B17; I'm sure you'll enjoy it as it's a great kit and replays a bit of effort in spades.

The boat is self-weathering unfortunately! :-D
Best wishes

And that's the important thing.
Are youu going for the SEAC decals, or something a bit more conventional? Either way, very smart bit of modelling. Also, I never knew Wellingtons' insides were that colour!
