Pretty much absolutely nothing! :-D Still, as they say, I know it's there
And that's the important thing.
Are youu going for the SEAC decals, or something a bit more conventional? Either way, very smart bit of modelling. Also, I never knew Wellingtons' insides were that colour!
Conventional decals I'm afraid; tbh I've never considered doing a SEAC scheme!

And the interior colour was a bit of a surprise to me when I (for once) did some research!

And she's finished; paints were AK Interactive for the topsides and Revell Anthracite beneath. Two coats of W & N matt varnish overall

Thanks Guys!

The much maligned surface detail seems to have been muted nicely by the paint and matt varnish; it'll be interesting to see how it compares with the Airfix new tool when it is available!

Another Bandai special!

This is the snowspeeder that comes in the same kit as the AT-AST that I built a couple of weeks ago. I have three of these to build which one day will figure in a diorama with the Bandai 1/144 AT-AT

That snowspeeder is a little gem, Iggie, the detail has really popped out very nicely under your painting and weathering. Great work with the Trumpeter Wellington as well. In the naked plastic the geodetic effect looks a little overdone but once painted and varnished it looks good to me.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Smashing build on the Wellington iggie, wonderful detail
A start on my first kit a Hawker Hurricane as been made, a spitfire awaits in the wings and thinking about models to come.

Modelling space in shed coming along nicely.

Shaun, these Bandai kits virtually weather themselves; chuck a bit of Tamiya smoke, or even ground pastels in water on them, and job done! The moulding is so sharp the every panel line, and every pipe or edge takes the wash beautifully.
As far as the Wellington is concerned, I really don't understand all the negativity about it on various forums and review sites. It builds easily, has plenty of detail, and as you say, with paint and varnish it looks the part.

In other news, but sort of linked (totally unwittingly on my part, honest!) to my last build this is the Military Wheels Soviet Aerosan; these vehicles were often to be found in the colder regions of the Soviet empire and were used for transporting the post and other civil functions. Sort of a Snowspeeder but old skool style! :-D

The kit itself is of typical short-run quality, but to be fair goes together fairly well. Paint was Revell 'Blue' with Anthracite for the prop. No decals.
Not my best build ever, but it was fun (and ain't that the whole point? ) and it's an unusual little beast! Interestingly there is no guard around the prop such as you might see on the air boats in the south of the USA; very handy for trimming fingernails I suppose

I really like that Aerosan a lot! Braille Scale, eh? Thinking that similar conversion work could actually be done on other kits too.

Beautiful job on the Wellington, Iggie! My uncle was a navigator on Wellingtons during the war, so I have a soft spot for it.

The Aerosan's a beaut! I've seen wartime versions of those, but never a sharp-looking civilian one like that. Very cool!
