Cheers!

In other news, I have discovered that the B-17 fits in my Ikea glass cabinets :-D :-D

And I've made a snowman

That's the roof of my car he is sitting on

Great snowman Iggie. Although it was forecast, there's no snow here, just cold and miserable. I'm off to Huddersfield show tomoz though and it's higher up over there so I might see snow yet this weekend.

Snowman looks great Iggie. The mouth looks like he has a mustache and goatee! We have a little more snow forecast for this weekend. Still, it should be gone (hopefully) in two more months.

That's not fair! We never get snow like that in Milton Keynes......mind you the whole place world grind to a halt if we did!
It was snowing as we came up the canal this afternoon; very cold but a lovely fire keeping the inside toasty warm

Very cozy looking fire! Very nice city too. I was up in Milton Keynes a couple years ago when I was at Cranfield University. Went to a mall in town and they had a big Dalek there. Had to get a picture of it. Gorgeous countryside. :)

On the modelling front, the Zero is finished. I've been squeezing this in around too much work and I've not really enjoyed the latter stages of the build.....which is a shame as it's a nice little kit and the eduard PE set for the cockpit is great (although you can't see it through the glazing  ).

As mentioned, we went to the pub on Saturday night, taking our bed with us :-D
Heading North, passing Grafton Regis. The picture does not portray the cold at all!!
Image
We moored below the Stoke Bruerne flight of locks as they are closed for (thankfully!) maintenance. The pounds (the length of water between each lock) are all drained and you can see how shallow canals are! Not too much junk in the pounds as this part of the canal is in open country; the same shot in Milton Keynes would have a multitude of shopping trolleys, mopeds, tyres etc. sitting in the mud
Image

Image
Heading South again, not far from our old moorings at Kingfisher Marina and about an hour from our curent base. Again, the cold has not come out well!!

Best wishes

Nicely done Zero and some great canal shots. I'd heard canals were quite shallow but as most of them are a bit murky it's hard to tell from the tow path. I thought they might be a bit deeper than that though, what's the average canal depth in the UK?
