The B-17 is now in a holding pattern until I can get to get a coat of black on it, prior to the NMF
In the meantime, I have started work on my entry for the Zero GB:
Kit parts painted

PE side frame and knobbly things added

Seat belts, floor and rudder pedals

Great work Iggie. The B-17 looks awesome. I like the spars to support the wings. Much nicer than a butt joint. It's going to be taking up quite a bit of shelf space! Looking forward to seeing it progress.

Is the Zero the Hasegawa kit? Nice!

The Zero is indeed the Hasegawa kit; very nicely moulded and the fit is superb.....it's an enjoyable build
And talking of which, this is the latest from the GB entry (still no progress on the B17  )

Great work on the cockpit Iggie. Is that the colour of the finished paint scheme or an undercoat? It will be interesting to see the final scheme.

The topside colour is the finished article; Humbrol 88. I do have a pot of Tamiya IJN Green but I seem to have lost it!
Thanks for looking in, more progress last night, pictures to follow later!
Best wishes
