Thanks all!

Well, I'm calling the B-17 done now; I have added some exhaust staining below the wings, and a little above too as it shows on some topside views of NMF machines; I guess escaped fumes from the collector rings...

Very well done Iggie, that is a great looking Fort and the exhaust staining has finished her off very nicely, most B-17's show exhaust muck to some degree or another.

Thanks chaps!
Next up on the bench is my entry for the Me109 GB; I'm building the Revell 1/32 scale 109 G as a change from the gentleman's scale or 1/350 ships.
So far I've made a start on the cockpit as usual

Lovely jubbly, that is a great looking pilot's office Iggie. I built the old Matchbox 109E in 1/32nd a few years ago and because of the full-size aircraft's relatively small size I didn't find the model to be too large for my (then) shelves in that scale - different story now however

Lovely job on the 'in scale' muck from the Me-109 pilot's boots.

The 'muck' is Flory's Dark Dirt, liberally applied and then lifted again using some kitchen towel folded into a small wad and dabbed onto surfaces while being held in some tweezers.

A little more work last night

That really does look the part Iggie, an excellent bit of modelling. I'm a fan of Revell's kits, particularly their modern offerings, which IMHO offer a good level of detail at a very reasonable price and this '109 looks excellent.
