All exciting stuff on the go here, Iggie. The AT-AT built up into an excellent looking replica and I'm keen on that new tool Stuka as well. Personally, I haven't got a clue regarding the colours and would either go along with Airfix's recommendations or do some web-based research, depending on my mood at the time! That Master Box 1944 set is effectively a nice dio in a box. I'm scared of doing figures though and I'm fully prepared to leave that to a braver soul like you, discretion being the better part of valour and all that :ha:

I'm not sure about the 'braver' bit; it's going to be an absolute first for me unless you count a couple of 1/72 pilots over the years.....!

And talking of firsts, I've just glued a horse together! :-D

And the cart is pretty much done and the major painting complete; I drew grain lines onto the bare plastic, and then applied two coats of Revell Wood brown over it. The metal work had been picked out in Anthracite

Ta Mr Gnome
More progress on the figure front. I'm firmly into uncharted territory for me now and winging it totally!

Excellent work so far, Iggie. Great job of the cart and I think your horses and figures are shaping up very well. I've tried figures on a few occasions but horses only once that I can recall - I believe some modellers paint them using oils and sponges to get the tones right and what have you, unless that's a bit old skool now :???:

Well, I used a sponge, but only with acrylics! Thanks for the comments Shaun

Ah, so I had remembered correctly then about using a sponge. I wasn't sure and my recollection is not always as good as it was - I'm getting on a bit now you know

Cheers Stuart!

The build and painting are pretty much done. I need to build a bar now and then glue everything into place.

The Stuka has also progressed and has had the canopy fitted and all the camouflage done. Next up will be a gloss coat and decals

The Stuka is really nice iggie and the cart looks fantastic. For someone in uncharted territory you seem to be drawing a damn fine map. 8-)
