Iggie,
Are you doing this whilst on your boat?? Last year I did a GB Mustang and decided 'enough was enough' with modelling (I am unable to 'travel light'). This year I have loads of Spanish text books etc but, thus far, I lack motivation to study. Mind you, to be fair, I have spent the last 3 days doing lots of work on the boat ready for this years 'Grand Cruise'. Leaving Droitwich tomorrow, with the aim of getting to Ripon, cruising the Derwent and Pocklington and returning, taking in Sheffield, the Chesterfield canal and the Erewash. Getting on for 1000 miles and nearly the same number of locks!

PS. If you want to see where we are, go to http://www.waterexplorer.co.uk/gmaps/in ... almap.aspx;.
Look for ELEMIAH on the boat locations.

Sounds like an epic voyage! Due to work commitments we are unable yet to venture onto the cut for more than a week or so at present but will be with you in spirit! I do have a couple of Airfix starter kits and basic tools on the boat in case of breakdowns or stoppages but so far (thankfully) not had to break one out yet :-D
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Iggie,
The major problem I found was having to clear everthing away at the end of each modelling session- not something I normally do!

Yep, I can see that being a problem for me too!

Onwards and upwards with the Camel
Fuselage colours largely done; wood brown and clear yellow applied ready for grain decals:

Wood grain applied with clear orange over; I've use the fine knot-less grain as I thought they'd use a better quality of ply on the outside
Image
The prop wood lamination is finished; I'd only done one side in the previous picture! :-D

Thanks chaps!
Some more progress although somewhat sweaty, rigging has been attached, wings and struts painted and the lower wing attached to the fuselage
