Oh dear, looks like I'll be ordering a load more filler then, I had already done a dry fit of some of the major components and found the bad fit, I'd also noticed the lack of joining studs for the fuselage so will definitely be adding extra support pieces to the joins.

Thanks for the advice Splash, I'll definitely be giving the GB thread a good read.

Iggie, I did notice the missing photos, I'm assuming they're similar to the filler heavy pics from Splash, was yours a DNF as Well? If not I'd love to see what I'm aiming for.

Nope, I'm proud to say I was THE finisher :-D
I'll see if I can rustle 'em up; back soon!
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Hi Rudi, not too much to go on but these are all I can find.
The intakes are rubbish, and I seem to remember having to pack out the top wing where it sits over the fuselage to avoid a nasty step.
Oh, and you have to fit the main U/C before you can then add the U/C doors; at least it means that you don't need to detail the interior of the U/C bays

Have fun!

(Now, where did I put those shares in Polyfiller? My pension is looking better after all :ha: )

There you go, evidence that the kit can be built and looks stunning in the process, one day I will try again I have another in my stash.

Gorgeous! That thing looks so fast! It looks great in the desert colour.

Wow, that's an awesome build Iggie, don't think mine will be anywhere near that quality finish, I shall be making a start over the next few evenings and see what I can cobble together, again thanks for the advice and inspiration, it's really getting my mind back into it all.

After what seems like ages I finally got round to spraying the parts with a coat of white primer at the weekend, then this evening , on my temporary semi permanent work bench I made a start on painting the cockpit and joining the wheels. Also had another go at the intakes, the fit is horrendous.

Hello all, it’s been quite a while but life has got in the way of the important stuff. The TSR2 build is progressing at a snails pace, but it’s three quarters complete with the landing gear and vertical tail assembly to fit and final detailing, will get round to some WIP pics soon. To be fair I can see why this kit ended up as a DNF for many, it’s been a pain with badly fitting parts and poor instructions.
