Nice finish

Re: Dollar's Vault
I got a little bench time today, so i made an effort on my old 1/32 Revell Tomcat. This thing has been a shelf queen for over 30 years. Over those years I've managed to lose a few parts here and there. Mainly the rubber tires. I tried to locate some replacement
s but no joy. Hence I spent this afternoon modifying the gear well doors so I could glue them on in a gear up mode. I've come close to throwing this one out on the street many times but for some reason I keep chipping away at it. I have no idea how I want to paint it, or display it. But here's some piccys of it.

Re: Dollar's Vault
That must be quite a size! There looks to be a good level of detail for the age of the kit
Best wishes

She a beastie! Surprising for a 1981 mild. Recess panel lines, but typical for Revell of that time fit is sloppy in places and detail is soft in places. Hell the same can be said of a lot of Revells newer stuff.

Re: Dollar's Vault
It looks really impressive Dollar. You're going to need a big display cabinet though

Nice looking Tomcat, Dollar. Can't believe you've had it on the shelf of doom for 30 years

I’m thinking that new Airfix Wildcat will be a future project for me.Michael modeller 48 wrote:That is nice Wildcat.

Re: Dollar's Vault
What can I say..... I’m a slow builder. The biggest issue I’ve had is it’s size. The damn thing is huge. I can’t imagine the guys that only build in 1/32. Or their work spaces!PTB11 wrote:Nice looking Tomcat, Dollar. Can't believe you've had it on the shelf of doom for 30 years
