Plecostomus' new and improved bogwood

Post by plecostomus2 »

Hi all I'm back to badly assemble plastic model kits and throw paint in their general direction. First up will be the Revell 1/72 Messerschmitt Bf109G-10. According to Scalemates it was first released in 1996, which is making me feel old because I first built it when it was a new release. Paints will be a mixture of Humbrol, Revell, Vallejo and Xtracrylix.

What....all at once?? That ought to make a fine mess!

Also, 1996 was only just the other day I swear!

Happy modelling.

Well, it took a bit longer than expected, the second bit I cut off the sprue was the control stick that I promptly fed to the carpet monster which knocked my mojo for a bit, but here is my Revell 1/72 Messerschmitt Bf 109G-10, built out of the box, the main camouflage colours are Xtracrylix, with the details being Vallejo.

The first time I built this kit it was new out in 1996 and I was used to dodgy early Airfix kits with the cockpit being a pilot on a peg, and as such this was an amazing step forward. That said, it's showing it's age a bit now and is a bit of a flash monster. Still built up ok though.

And another! First To Fight 1/72 TKS tankette. This is a wargaming kit but it's very small and delicate and I'm not sure how much handling it could withstand. Good little kit though. Nice magazine too.
