Time for a new kit - in this case the SN.900 (more or less a FW-190A-5/6), kit by MGD although it seems it is a repop of an earlier kit by Admiral.
A fairly typical Czech garage kit - good resin, nice vacform, smart decals, excellent brass fret,
horrible plastic. So far what little I have done of it has gone together well, but I'm anticipating a lot of clean-up to come.
Interesting that this rather dangerous aircraft was used to supplement the Yak-3s as they ran out of spare parts in the immediate postwar history of the Normandie-Niemen Squadron. Apparently they were only put into production because the French had found the Western Front FW-190 repair depot and (elsewhere) a stock of BMW801 engines. As the originals had been built largely by slave labour and many of the parts were sabotaged, this was not a well-behaved aircraft nor popular to fly. Also odd to think of two old adversaries flying in the same squadron.
